Our luxury, boutique on-site wedding accommodation is part of the reason that we were awarded Manor House and Boutique Hotel Wedding Venue of the Year at the 2026 Essex Wedding Awards. We are proud to offer 5 beautiful, individually styled en-suite double bedrooms, each named after properties owned by the De Beauvoir family, who occupied Downham Hall from 1723 until 1821.
These 5 luxury bedrooms include our spacious Bridal Suite, which means you and your closest loved ones can fully immerse yourselves in the celebration and after the final song has played, can simply walk up the ornate staircase to bed. Gather together for breakfast the next morning in our light and airy Orangery and relive every moment.

Our charming boutique bedrooms await, and you’ll have early access to the Bridal Dressing Room to settle in without the morning rush. Space permitting, the Orangery can be yours for the evening—your own private sanctuary to enjoy time with your bridal party and calm those pre-wedding jitters; it’s the joyful beginning your wedding day deserves.
The Bridal Suite: Englefield
The crown jewel of our wedding accommodation, is the Englefield Bridal Suite, a romantic haven designed for your first night as newlyweds and included as part of yor wedding package. This beautifully appointed room features contemporary décor, a super king-size bed, and a luxurious en-suite with a walk-in shower and bath – perfect for unwinding after the final dance.
Wake up to picturesque views of rolling countryside and head down to the Orangery for your complimentary breakfast ensuring the perfect end to your celebration.
Four Individually Styled Luxury Double Rooms for your Guests
Each of our four double rooms come with a King or Super King size bed, all thoughtfully designed to blend classic country house elegance with modern boutique luxury. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, they provide the perfect retreat for your wedding guests.
Room One: Ramsey
Dressed in warm yellow tones with an eye-catching geometric wallpaper and ornate lighting, this room radiates cheerful elegance. The tasteful styling creates a welcoming space that feels both classic and contemporary.
Room Two: Gidea
Beautifully spacious and luxurious, this room is wrapped in dusky pink with pops of brighter pink that add warmth and character. It's a room that feels both indulgent and inviting.
Room Three: Balmes
A harmonious blend of calming blue with accents of sunny yellow, this room offers a serene atmosphere with a touch of warmth overlooking the fields below and country church above.
Room Four: Coptfold
Warm and inviting, the soft, dusky palette in the Coptfold Suite creates an inviting space that feels both luxurious and homely.
All rooms are thoughtfully equipped with high-speed WiFi, smart TV, Nespresso coffee machines, tea-making facilities, hairdryer, and ironing facilities. One room can be configured as a family room with twin beds and a pull-out trundle bed suitable for a child or small adult. Travel cots are also available upon request.

We understand that for many couples, four-legged friends are part of the family. Dogs are welcome to stay in our accommodation, just let us know in advance and we’ll make all the arrangements including hiring dog sitters should this be required during your day.
