Situated in the heart of the Essex countryside, our family-run Georgian manor house offers beautiful, exclusive facilities with stunning views. It’s a tranquil, relaxed space – yours for as long as you need – where family and friends can come together to remember, share stories, and celebrate a loved one.
We’re easily accessible for guests travelling from near and far, close to Billericay and Wickford train stations with direct trains to London Liverpool Street, while the M25 and A12 provide convenient access by car.

Our Facilities
We offer a range of beautiful spaces to suit gatherings from 15 to 200 guests, from our intimate, light and airy Orangery overlooking rolling hills, our larger warm and elegant De Beauvoir Suite, or our spacious luxury heated marquee set in landscaped grounds. Each space provides a serene, exclusive and and relaxed setting.
Our award-winning kitchen prepares beautifully crafted menus using locally sourced ingredients. Please let us know of any dietary requirements and we’ll ensure these are catered for. We also have a fully licensed bar.
Our helpful staff pride themselves on personal and attentive service, ensuring you and your guests are well looked after. For guests travelling from afar, we offer five individually styled en-suite boutique bedrooms, providing luxury, comfort and breakfast the following day. With plenty of free and secure parking, Downham Hall is the ideal place to spend time together remembering your loved one.
